Gregg L. Bienstock, Esq., CEO and Co-Founder

Before co-founding Lumesis, Gregg spent more than thirteen years with Ambac Financial Group where, most recently, he was responsible for Strategic Initiatives and previously served as Chief Administrative Officer and Employment Counsel responsible for global Technology, Employment Law, Corporate Governance and Compliance, ERISA, Human Resources, Marketing and Administration. Prior to joining Ambac, he served as a Director of Human Resources for Bristol-Myers Squibb. From 1993 through February 1996, he was an associate in the Labor and Employment Law Department of Proskauer Rose, LLP and from 1992 through September 1993 he was an Assistant Deputy General Counsel for the Mayor’s Office of Labor Relations for the City of New York.

Gregg is a 1991 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. He received his B.S. in Business and Economics from the University of Maryland. Gregg is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Children’s Village, leads a fund-raising initiative (“Tri-ing for CV”) for the Children’s Village and is an amateur triathlete.


Timothy J. Stevens, CFA, President, COO and Co-Founder

Prior to co-founding Lumesis, Tim spent over fourteen years with Ambac Financial Group where, most recently, he was a Senior Managing Director and led all Capital Markets activity including management of the company’s investment portfolios, the Guaranteed Investment Contract business, the Global Interest Rate Derivatives business and the Global Secondary Markets Group. Previously, Tim ran Ambac’s Global Secondary Markets Group covering secondary market financial guarantee opportunities in several asset classes, including US Municipal bonds, infrastructure, whole business, lease securitizations, manufactured housing, home equity, franchise loans, autos, and others. During the time that he ran the Guaranteed Investment Contract business, he was responsible for new business development and asset-liability management. Prior to that, Tim was a member of the Structured Credit Group, where he underwrote and executed credit derivative contracts in relation to synthetic corporate CDOs. Formerly, he served in various roles in Ambac’s Financial Control Department. Prior to 1995, he worked in the Audit Services division of Deloitte & Touche LLC.

Tim holds a B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. He currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and was a licensed Certified Public Accountant during the years that he practiced accounting. He was also registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7) and a General Securities Principal (Series 24). Tim is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.


Vincent Aubrun, CTO & VP of Engineering

Vincent joined Lumesis with over 25 years of experience in leading application and infrastructure architecture, software development, and systems integration of open source and proprietary technologies.  Prior to joining Lumesis, Vincent was the CTO of Calypso Technology where he led the transformation of the core product technology and architecture leveraging Open Source solutions to deliver scalability, multi-tenancy and Web interface.  He also created a SaaS offering based on the Calypso product.  For several years, he was the VP of Engineering at Summit Systems where he led all software development activities for its core product. As Chief Architect, Vincent owned the Summit architecture and delivered several innovative features that set the product apart: customizable rich front end, extendible data model, high volume distributed architecture and extensive API’s.  In his role, Vincent was a key, influential leader in managing the growth and success of Summit Systems and later Misys-Summit from a start-up enterprise to an industry leader in financial technology.

Vincent holds a Diplôme d’ Ingénieur (EE) from l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France.  He also holds a Master in Computer Science from New York University, NY.


Michael J. Vossler, Managing Director, Business Development

Mike joined Lumesis with over 20 years of experience serving in various roles within the software solutions business for Capital Markets trading, operations and enterprise risk. He most recently served as a Senior Vice President at SunGard overseeing sales and distribution for three divisions including Adaptiv, Front Arena and Sierra. He also served on the Senior Management team of each group. Prior to his management role, Mike was a top Sales Executive for SunGard selling risk and trading solutions to banks, asset managers, broker/dealers, insurance companies and breaking new ground for the company in the hedge fund and energy sectors. Mike began his career in Europe in professional services including solution implementation and client services. He ultimately ran the practices in Frankfurt, London and New York.

Mike holds a Master of International Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management and a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University.


Patti Boyle – Chief Marketing Officer

As CMO for Lumesis, Patti specializes in strategic planning, as the business accelerates its growth with enhanced offerings and new market expansion.

Patti brings to Lumesis over 20 years’ experience in strategy, branding and campaign oversight for global consumer and B-to-B organizations.  Her broad industry knowledge encompasses financial and professional services, technology, and consumer packaged goods. Patti's expertise across disciplines results from successful marketing leadership roles with innovative organizations such as Deloitte, Verizon and most recently, SEI Global Wealth Services.

Patti holds both an MBA and BA from Temple University.  She is a frequent Guest Lecturer at area universities on Global Marketing and Digital Media.  Patti is an active leader in a variety of educational non-profits, most notably, Faith in the Future Foundation and Winning Ways Education.


Jim Ashton – Board of Directors

Mr. Ashton is the Managing Partner of JA3Partners, LLC, an executive advisory firm that provides executive consulting to private equity firms and their portfolio companies in the area of business strategy, operational improvement, sales optimization, and M&A.

Prior to starting JA3Partners, Mr. Ashton was CEO for SunGard’s Financial Systems, a $2.5 billion business with 13,000 employees. While at SunGard, Mr. Ashton led software and service businesses in the areas of Wealth Management, Insurance, Corporate Treasury, Trading, Risk Management, Brokerage and Consulting. He also sponsored and integrated key acquisitions and played an important role in SunGard's 2005 $11.3 billion leveraged buy-out with a consortium of private equity firms. Prior to SunGard, Mr. Ashton held senior management positions at Premier Solutions Inc. He began his career at EDS where he held various technical, sales, and managerial positions.


Philip D. Moyer – Board of Directors

Mr. Moyer joined the Lumesis Board of Directors in February 2012. He is a Managing Director at Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE: SFE) and is responsible for deploying capital in and partnering with technology companies in the financial technology, and Enterprise 3.0 industries. Mr. Moyer brings more than 25 years of experience, most recently serving as the President and CEO at EDGAR Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: EDGR). While there, he led the transformation and recapitalization of the company, reversing losses and producing quarterly operating profits.

Prior to his time at EDGAR, Mr. Moyer led a management buy-out from Capmark of Cassiopae, a European-based commercial lending software company. Before this, he spent 15 years in various senior level positions at Microsoft including General Manager of the Professional Services Industry, General Manager of Global Customers, and Global Manager Enterprise Services and Partners for the U.S. East Region. In 1988, Mr. Moyer co-founded the Orion Systems Group, a software company serving the K-12 education market. Orion Systems was later sold to SunGard. He began his career at GE Aerospace as a software developer. Since the start of his career, Mr. Moyer has served as an Angel Investor in ten companies, ranging from start-ups to $3 million growth companies.

Mr. Moyer holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and currently serves on the board of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration, University of Pittsburgh. In addition, he serves on the Board of XBRL US, and Safeguard Scientifics’ partner companies Crimson Informatics and Lumesis.


Joshua Laurito – Advisory Board Member

Josh Laurito is one of the founding Members of Lumesis, Inc. Previously, Josh was a Managing Director at RangeMark Financial Services where he was responsible for analysis of credit and interest rate derivative products.

He is the co-author of Financial Simulation Modeling in Excel, published by John Wiley & Sons. He has also held positions at Ambac Assurance and Merrill Lynch and currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


Kate McDonough – Advisory Board Member

Ms. McDonough retired from Ambac Assurance Corp. in 2007, after a 25-year career in municipal finance. At Ambac, she served as a Senior Managing Director and co-head of the firm's Public Finance business. Prior to that, she was General Counsel for Public Finance.

Before joining Ambac, Ms. McDonough was an attorney at Orrick, Herrington and Hawkins, Delafield where she specialized in municipal finance and securities law. Prior to that, she was employed in the securities and banking industries with Merrill Lynch and the NYSE.

She is currently serving a second term as a public member of the Board of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, a self regulatory organization established by Congress.

Ms. McDonough graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a B.S. in Accounting and earned her J.D. from Fordham Law School. She was honored by Irish America Magazine as one of the Wall Street Top 50 for 2001 and is a member of the YWCA Woman Achiever Class of 1995.


Robin Wiessmann – Board of Directors

Robin brings more than 30 years of experience as an investment banker, asset manager, entrepreneur, and government leader. She has served as State Treasurer of Pennsylvania, as a municipal investment banker with Goldman Sachs, and as founding principal and president of investment banking firm Artemis Capital Group. Currently, Robin is Chairman of the Vantagepoint Funds Mutual Fund, a 40 Act mutual fund company with $13 billion under management. In addition, she was recently elected to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB). Robin’s role as a leader of large public and private institutions has enabled her to combine business development with financial regulatory expertise and sound governance principles to achieve more efficient operations.
